Bugaboos To Rogers Pass Traverse
Updated February 19, 2025. The KMZ file has been updated to include the recent use of Selwyn Ledges to access and egress the Deville Headwall. Please read the note within the KMZ regarding hazards, info, etc. The map and book has not been updated with this info.
Gifting the Bugs to Rogers Traverse to the ski mountaineering community. The book, the map and the KMZ. You can download them all via the Dropbox link at the bottom of this page.
These are some of my first publications so, nothing fancy but they are resourceful. Note that some of the links do not work in the PDF Book, it's an old publication and RogersPass411.ca is now GeoBackcountry.com.
IMPORTANT UPDATE | Parks Canada has changed the regulations regarding parking areas. The changes effect the Illecillewaet Parking area which is commonly used by people doing the traverse. Although the Illecillewaet parking lot is designated as 'unrestricted', it is now required to obtain an 'Overnight Parking Permit' from Parks Canada if you want to park your vehicle at Illecillewaet or Rogers Pass Centre overnight. Permits are free and can be obtained at the Rogers Pass Centre. Visit the Parks Canada website for more info.
