Knowledge is Powder
Books, Maps and Mobile
Twenty years ago, Douglas Sproul began documenting everywhere he had visited and everything he had seen in the mountains of British Columbia and Alberta. Much of this time he spent at Rogers Pass, BC. Nine years ago as a passionate skier, Douglas began working on a book about Rogers Pass ski mountaineering.
The work has morphed into a unique and groundbreaking demonstration of the potential for the future of guidebooks. Welcome to the 21st Century of Guidebooks. Knowledge is Powder!
I've spent the past twenty years stomping around the mountains of BC and Alberta. In the summer, I like to plant things in the earth. While waiting for things to grow, I like to rock climb and ride my bike. I have also been known to work on a trail or two.
During the winter, I like to explore the mountains with their blanket of snow.
