Psyched about your latest project. Your first book changed my life.
— Elliott B.

I just received my order and you have blown my mind! Thanks for signing all the books and throwing in a map, you are a truly incredible man. It’s like Christmas in May, these books were so worth the wait. Now our group can plan all summer, can’t wait for snow! Live long and prosper Doug, you rock!!!
— Todd K.

Got the books today - simply .... WOW ! Amazing job ... Obviously, we flipped open the first book at random and of course, we had to land on The Shelf. Must be a sign of the universe or something. The pics are outstanding, love the format. Antoine won’t be doing much homework today (school homework that is) - think he already started on his tick list for next season. Tks for the outstanding work - it is very much appreciated!
— Bryan (and Antoine)

Thanks for all your hard work on this. Hard to express just how impressed I am with your organization and attention to getting every detail right. Great work and can’t wait to get out there with the new guide book! Cheers!

My copies arrived in the mail! It’s like Christmas morning (and not just because it’s snowing in Calgary on the May long weekend). High quality books, arrived in pristine condition. The details are amazing and will make for some stellar trips. Adventure awaits! Thanks Douglas Sproul for all the work - amazing!

How are the books divided?

The Trans-Canada Highway is the dividing line of the two books. All terrain on the north side of the highway is included in Rogers Pass North. All terrain that’s south of the highway is included in Rogers Pass South.

The Winter Permit System

“Learn It — Get Your Permit”

Large areas of Glacier National Park are CLOSED for avalanche control using EXPLOSIVES.

“Parks Canada and Canadian Forces operate the world’s largest mobile avalanche control program to keep the Trans-Canada Highway and the Canadian Pacific Railway open through Rogers Pass. If you plan to tour in Glacier National Park, be aware that many areas of the park have restricted and prohibited access in winter — which are defined and managed within the Winter Permit System, a component of the highway avalanche control program.”

— Parks Canada

Please visit Parks Canada to familiarize yourself with the Winter Permit System before using these books and map.

Non-compliance will threaten the future of the Winter Permit System.
